Introduction


Welcome to AboardED! This Terms and Conditions Agreement ("Agreement") is a legally binding contract between you ("User") and AboardED ("platform""AboardED," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the AboardED platform and services provided by AboardEd. By accessing or using our website, you signify your agreement to be bound by these Terms.


Core Services: AboardED provides mentorship calls, university search assistance, application support, and other related services to connect aspiring study abroad students (Mentees) with experienced students studying abroad (Mentors). We reserve the right to modify, expand, or discontinue any of our services at our sole discretion.


Obligations


Account Creation: You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account on AboardED. Providing false information, including misrepresenting your age, identity, or qualifications, is a violation of our Terms.
AboardED employs a verification procedure to confirm mentor qualifications.


Rights and Limits


As a user of AboardED, you retain ownership of all the content, feedback, and personal information you provide to us. However, by using our platform, you grant AboardED a non-exclusive license to use this content and information.


We respect your choices regarding the visibility and use of your information and content, including its use in advertisements. You have control over who can see your content, and we will not include it in third-party advertisements without your separate consent.


You maintain ownership of the content and information you submit or post on AboardED. By using our platform, you grant us a worldwide, transferable, and sublicensable right to use, copy, modify, distribute, publish, and process this content and information.


You can revoke this license for specific content by deleting it from the platform or closing your account, except for content shared with others or stored in backup systems. We will not modify the meaning of your expression, although we may make format changes for clarity or compatibility.


We respect your privacy and will not publish your content beyond the platform without your consent. However, public posts may be embedded on third-party services, and search engines may index public content.


Any personal data included in your content is subject to our Privacy Policy, and we will handle it in accordance with your choices and preferences.


By submitting feedback to AboardED, you agree that we can use and share it for any purpose without compensation to you. You agree to provide truthful information and content that does not violate the law or anyone's rights.


We may be required to remove certain information or content by law in some countries, but we will strive to maintain the integrity and truthfulness of your profile information.


User Data and Usage: AboardED collects basic user data, including [list the specific data points you currently collect], for purposes such as mentor matching, facilitating communication between users, and improving our platform. We may use your data for additional purposes in the future, such as personalized recommendations or targeted study abroad resources. Disclaimer and Limit of Liability


AboardED strives to provide a platform connecting you with qualified mentors. However, we cannot guarantee the quality of advice provided by mentors, specific outcomes of mentorship sessions, or admission to your desired university. Mentors are independent providers, and their advice does not represent the views or guarantees of AboardED.


AboardED will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, punitive, or special damages, or any loss of use, data, or profits, arising from the use of, or inability to use, our platform, under any legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.


Intellectual Property


AboardED owns all intellectual property rights to the platform, its design, and any original materials created by AboardED employees or representatives.


Guidelines for Use:

You agree to:

  • Adhere to all relevant laws, including privacy, intellectual property, anti-spam, export control, tax, and regulatory laws.

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information to AboardED.

  • Use your real name on your profile.

  • Utilize the platform in a professional manner.


You agree not to:

  • Create a false identity on AboardED, misrepresent your identity, or create a profile for anyone other than yourself.

  • Develop or use software, scripts, robots, or any other means to scrape or copy profiles and data from AboardED.

  • Attempt to bypass security features or access controls of the platform.

  • Copy, use, disclose, or distribute any information obtained from AboardED without consent.

  • Disclose confidential information without permission.

  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, patents, trademarks, or trade secrets.

  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of AboardED, including copying or distributing proprietary materials or technology.

  • Post harmful code or software viruses.

  • Attempt to reverse engineer or derive source code from the platform.

  • Imply affiliation or endorsement by AboardED without consent.

  • Monetize AboardED or its data without consent.

  • Deep-link to AboardED for any purpose without consent.

  • Use bots or automation to access the platform or send messages.

  • Monitor the platform for competitive purposes.

  • Engage in activities that interfere with the platform's operation or performance.

  • Violate the Professional Community Policies or any additional terms provided for specific services.


Termination


User Termination:
You may terminate your AboardED account at any time by deleting your profile or contacting support.


AboardED Termination Rights:
AboardED reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to

    • Violations of our User Conduct guidelines.

    • Breaching any provision of these Terms and Conditions

    • Engaging in fraudulent or illegal activities.

General Terms

User Conduct:

AboardED is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and productive community for all users. To maintain a positive experience, the following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

Discrimination & Harassment: Any content or communication that is discriminatory, harassing, threatening, or sexually explicit will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, targeting an individual or group based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.

Spam & Inappropriate Content: Sharing promotional content unrelated to study abroad, excessive self-promotion, repetitive messages, or content deemed harmful or offensive is prohibited.

Misrepresentation: Impersonating another user, providing false account information, or misrepresenting your qualifications or affiliation with AboardED is a violation of our Terms.

Privacy Violations: Sharing private information (yours or others) without explicit consent is not allowed.

Misuse of Platform: Attempts to exploit, harm, or disrupt the functionality of AboardED or engage in fraudulent activity are strictly prohibited.

AboardED reserves the right to take action against users violating these guidelines, including but not limited to:

  • Issuing warnings

  • Removing content

  • Suspending or terminating accounts

  • Legal action in cases of severe or repeated violations.

Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience any violation of our User Conduct guidelines, please report it to complaints@aboarded.com

Payment, Commission, & Payout Timeline

  • Commission: AboardED charges a 25% commission on mentor earnings, automatically deducted from their payout.

  • Payout: Mentors receive payment for completed sessions within 5 working days.

  • Refunds: Refund requests may be granted at AboardED's discretion in the following circumstances:

    • Technical errors preventing session completion.

    • Mentor unavailability or no-show for a scheduled session.

    • If, upon detailed review, AboardED determines that a mentorship session did not provide reasonable value to the mentee. Reasons for this determination may include, but are not limited to, the mentor intentionally stalling or demonstrating a lack of engagement during the session.

    • Refund requests must be submitted within 3 days of the session.

    • AboardED reserves the right to deny refund requests if there is evidence of abuse or attempts to circumvent the platform's policies.

AboardED reserves the right to change its pricing, commission structure, and payout timeline in the future. Users will be notified of changes via appropriate communication channels.

Complaints Regarding Content


If you witness or experience any content or behavior that violates our Terms and Conditions or User Conduct guidelines, please report it to AboardED immediately. Include the following information in your report:

  • Nature of the violation

  • Where the content is located (link if possible)

  • Relevant identifying information
